Taste for Calories?...and Brainteasing

I am rarely a person who eats or drinks high-caloric stuff. I think they are empty calories and in the end, you feel bad about eating/drinking it. Plus, too high fat content doesen't digest well with me. Anyhow, my weakpoint though is STARBUCKS coffee. I think a lot of thier drinks are so good because of the fat content in them. My first encouter with starbucks coffee was when my sister and I were out with some friends in the C'ville ice rink. We were a group of about 6 or 8 and after our ice skating, we all decided to go to Starbucks in UVA for some coffee to "warm up" (of course, this was during the summer, but we were chilly from the ice rink) Mind, you this was about 10-12 yrs ago when this happened. I think actually I had just started BRCC. Anyhow, I've never heard of Starbucks (or really drank much coffee) so my friend suggested a tall Caramel Macchiato. I'm thinking "tall" "I want a SMALL. Then I was explained the meaning of thier size charts. Anyhow, since then, I love Starbucks. My sister and I never really got one unless we were out with these friends because we considered it a treat, and plus there wasn't one in Waynesboro; the closest one was C'ville. I've tried other coffee flavors, but I still like Caramel Macchiato the best. When I got to JMU, we didn't have a Starbucks either, but something similar; I tried them, I liked them, but no one beats Startbucks. About a year ago, a Starbucks opened in Waynesboro! I was sooooo excited! yay! And then one opened up near JMU, of course, I don't live in H'burg anymore but still; that's exciting. But the one in Waynesboro is a bad thing---at least for me. I try really hard (and doing really well) in disciplining myself not to go there all the time. I've been doing good; probably go there once every other week, because, as you know, it's expensive. Today, I tried out for the first time the non-fat caremel macchiato, and honestly, I don't taste a difference that I question if it really is non-fat. Actually, the taste is the same, but I can tell the texture isn't creamy. So, my question is sacrifice taste for calories? I think so! Some price, same great taste, no fat! Starbucks is usually a treat for me, esp the week I get paid (and I only get paid once a month!) For Christmas, my best friend gave me a gift card to Starbucks! Hats off to ya, Liz!! Thanks!

Liz has also gotten me addicted to Sudoku. About 2 yrs ago, she and out friend Jen introduced me to this mind game. At first, I thought it was the most boring game on earth and got frustrated at it, ALOT. But eventually, I got addicted---hooked. LOVE IT! I've gone through countless books (thanks to the dollar tree and dollar general stores! haha) and can easily loose track of time doing these puzzles. Actually, when I was stressed out in my previous job, this puzzle actually helped calm me down and de-stress me. I guess since it's a mind-thinking puzzle it helps you focus better, who knows. I did a lot of puzzles during our ride up to NYC; it passes time and is fun----keeps you on your toes. I read somewhere that doing these puzzles will help enhance your brain actvity!

So two of my several things I love and plan to do today:

--drink my warm grande Caramel Macchiato

--do some Soduku

happy place-------:)

---and I owe it all to Liz (gift card to Starbucks and introducing me to Soduku) Ha ha!

Now if only Starbucks learned to put sudoku puzzles on their cups! They should put extra hard ones on them so that by the time you finish the puzzle... you are ready for another drink.
