No concert for me............
Life had been busy busy busy for me. Work continues to keep me busy and I still enjoy aspects of my job. I had a lot of time to reflect this past weekend and couple of days and just remember God's goodness and graciousness in providing this job for me. This week has been rough at work, and it's only Wednesday night. But nevertheless, the stress definitely out-weighs the joy that my job brings. There's a lot of paperwork and logistics required in my job and yes, it's stressful, but knowing that I'm helping out someone, means so much more to me.
Anyhow, I was talking about my year anniversary with my mom and we both couldn't hardly believe a year has gone by already. In fact, my coworkers couldn't believe it either! Mom and I were talking about how time flies and how gracious God is in providing things in His own time for us. I was joking with my mom about "celebrating" and she just said "ok". Well, I happened to mention that my all time favorite jazz musician will be in Charlottesville on Sunday June 8. The jazz guy is Kenny G (and for all of you who are very conservative, you will definitely love his music--it's very relaxing). I first heard about Kenny G probably when I was about 13 or so and loved his music since. So, mom told me to check out ticket prices for us (meaning my dad, mom, and myself) to go see him in Concert. I was thinking to myself somewhere in the lines of "ok, so jazz music isn't as popular as other music and Kenny G is really consider and "older" musician." So, I'm thinking these tickets won't be expensive and it will be affordable for us to see him in concert; and besides the only real concert I've ever been to was Michael W Smith about 7 yrs ago! Well, I looked online and tickets prices were-----ok get this----the CHEAPEST were $59.99!!! I nearly fell on my face and said to myself ooookay, nevermind, no concert for me"
-----------so I guess I have to settle to buying his newest CD in stores! I'm not broken-hearted that I won't go; but the thought was great while it lasted.
