Thanksgiving in NYC

Despite my overwhelming busyness at work, I got a 5 day vacation from work to be able to go to NYC to visit my grandparents (one is in the nursing home, the other lives at home). I also got to see my uncles, aunts, and cousins. I LOVE NYC and enjoy each time I go there.

We had Thanksgiving at my cousin Angeline's and Andy's house. They live in upper Manhattan (where all those movie star lives). Their Condo is gorgeous and it was a treat to visit such a spectacular area--it was near the harbor. My cousin was telling me stories of how they get to see certain movie stars (Leonardo Decaprio, Tyra Banks, etc) and how when my aunt visits them, she doesn't even know who these people are. Don't get me wrong, I don't particularly care if I ever met them when I visit my cousins, but I guess the thought of it is kinda cool. My cousin was telling me that it actually gets old sometimes and to see the paparazzi every day gets old too.

Anyhow, we left at 1:00 AM Thursday and got to NYC around 9:30am at my grandma's. We rested and headed out to Manhattan that evening to enjoy and non-traditional Thanksgiving meal (yet a traditional in a Chinese feast sort of way). We had a feast and it was GREAT! No turkey, but a lot of other yummy foods. Unfortnately, I didn't get pics of the feast but I got pics of the family; and all this is not the WHOLE family!! What a great time! My sister and her family went to NYC too, but didn't go to the dinner because my older niece didn't feel good and they didn't want to take her out in the cold as well as get other people sick. Poor Miranda was sick the whole time there....and low and behold I got sick 2 days after!!! But anyhow...enjoy these pictures...
