Nieces

I have TONS of pictures in my office space of my nieces (and a lot of my family, cousins, uncles, aunts, grandma, mom, dad, etc); but most of my office has pictures of both of my nieces. My co-worker said to me the other day " With all the pictures of your nieces, one would think they are your own kids". Well, they aren't my kids, but they are definitely my angels
DeDa (aka Miranda) a name she gave herself

I love how my older niece, Miranda will run to my mom whenever I play a game of tag or chase with her (she loves me to run after her) or how she runs to my dad and thinks my dad will save her-----(when dad is sleeping on the couch!! haha);

I love how she says "no, this is MY paw-paw" refering to my mom, whenver I try to give my mom a hug in front of her.
I especially love it when Miranda tells me "I love you "yee -yee", knowing that I will just melt.

I love how she "reminds" me "yee yee, don't eat that your tummy will hurt" even if it IS something I can eat, although she does know that I am not allowed to eat cookies or bread"

I love it when Miranda tells me "Yee- yee you didn't close your eyes when daddy prayed for the food", not understanding that my right eye can't close; I tell her "well, u didn't close your eyes bcause you saw yee yee not close eyes. Her response? "I.....Um.....I um....I love you yee yee!! "

I love reading stories to her before her bedtime

I love playing puzzles with her and having her "teach" me what pieces goes where

I love her singing the "Dora" theme song and telling me "no, it goes this way"

I love watching her wait infront of the screen door until my mom, dad, and I pull up to thier driveway; how she jumps up and down and the excitment she gets

I love how she likes to play "WAKE UP" to me when I pretend to sleep. She'll yell "wake up" and grab the pillows from out under my head

I love how she says the ABCs for me and counts for me and tells me all the colors that are around her (she did this at such a young age....probably a little older than 1 yr old)

I love watching her try to ride her new bike, swing on the swing, and blow bubbles.

I love watching her attempt to use chopsticks

I love teaching her chinese words

...........and I can go on and on

Now to Caitlyn.........

CaDa (aka Caitlyn) a name she gave herself at 10 mo

Who wouldn't want a great big hug and slobbery kiss from this precious angel???

I love how Caitlyn can't decided who to go to first me or my mom;

I love how she is indecisive that she will stay with one person for literally a few seconds and then head to another person!!

I love it when she starts to crawl, stop turn around and laugh---her cue of say "play with me"; then I will "crawl" behind her and say "I'm gonna get you", she then speeds up in crawling, laughs and laughs so hard!

I love playing hide and seek with her; I'll "hide" behind the couch and she LOVE to come after me (or whoever is playing with her)

I love her saying "uh oh, skiddeo" (for speghetti - o)

I love how she reaches out for a banana or cracker whenever I hold her and there is something in her view she wants to eat

I love how she likes to play peek a boo with her blanket

I love how she reaches out for her stuffed "Dora" and hugs it so tightly

I love it when her whole head rests upon my shoulderd

I love when she does the "come here" sign with her hands

I love how she claps whenever she's excited

I love how she will try to climb up me, my mom, my dad, etc whenever she wants to be held

I love it when she "fakes her cough" and copy her----she gets a kick out of it!

.....and so much more..

I love being an aunt. I love my nieces; I love babysitting them; I only wish I lived closer so I can see them more often!

Yes, I'm a gloating aunt.....but who can blame me???
