long awaited update
I know, I know....it's been a while.....a good long month since I've updated all of you. I know my excuses seem to be the same all the time, but it's true. I've just been busy and tired and at times no real energy to update anything; I'm pretty good at updating stuff on facebook but otherwise I find myself with no energy to type up long updates, so this will be short.
Since our trip to Hawaii, things have been (yes you guessed it) crazy at work for me. We have been going through aduits and licensure check, new computer updates, etc etc. For the most part, except for two things, I've been doing okay physically. I still struggle a lot with my health and my shoulder issues. After our trip to Hawaii, I ended up with a terrible upper respiratory infection. bleh. I am thinking of making a return visit/appointment with my ENT doctor (Dr. Parks) over at UVA. I've also had my 4 mo. post-op surgery follow up with my surgeon, who thinks I have recovered well and is already planning another surgery for the upcoming year. However, I told him that I really needed to deal with my shoulder issue first and not take too much time off from work; so basically my next reconstructive surgery may be for next fall. I'm going probably call my orthopedic doctor to get an appointment set up to work on my shoulder.... perhaps in January if I can get in that early. We'll see!
Oh, I've had fun too. About a month ago, I was able to spend some time with my childhood friend, Tiana. We were able to spend a good portion of the weekend, catching up with each other and spending time together. We were able to go out to the barn to tend to her horse and spend time together. (those of you who follow me on FB has probably seen many pics).
Right now, I am trying to recover from back pain; I fell at work and now the dr thinks I've pulled a muscle. I'm about to get a PT referal and now wearing a brace. Hopefully I will improve sooner rather than later! I am thankful for the pain meds and such.
