the next few weeks
Today I saw my GI doctor, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Cerefice. They both are still concerned about my stomach issues and nausea as well as other things. I have been referred to two different doctors. One is the endocrinologist, who will keep tabs on my cortisol levels and see if I indeed have adrenal insufficiency that could led to Addison's Disease. They were explaining that an under-active adrenal gland could cause pain and nausea to the stomach and they want me to follow through with the endocrinologist to see what treatment will be best. A second thing they are trying to rule out is my vestibular muscle. From a 2005 MRI, it showed the neurofibrimotosis pushing against one of my ear's semi-circular canal. They have set up an appointment for a second MRI and an appointment with the ENT doctors. Dr. Cohen thinks that I may have a version of vertigo. I did tell him that there are days that I would be doing nothing and suddenly have a "dizzy" spell and ear ringing. Having vertigo could also explain my nausea and pain; this is why I'm set up to see my ENT doctor for an evaluation as well as an audiogram exam. Yes, I still have gastroperesis....or having problems with my stomach not emptying well.
There's so many things that is causing this illness, yet the doctors still is not 100% sure of what is going on; they are trying to rule out every possibility. Please continue to pray for me as I still struggle with food at times, for the team of doctors to know what is going on with me, and for peace for me and my family as we endure several weeks of testing and doctor's visits, etc. I have surgery tomorrow afternoon for my shoulder. I'm at ease somewhat with all of this; which is good in many ways. I know that My God is righteous and pure and know what He is doing.
