49 FLAVORS.............

Image
My mom recently came back from Richmond to help my sister with the new baby. She also went to Costco with my brother in law while up there. Mom came home with this: I was shocked because growing up, my mom never really brought stuff like this, at least not in bulk. I can safely say that probably about 75% of the candy in our house while my sister and I were growing up were given to us my friends are families. So, now, my dad and I and mom are enjoying these Jelly Belly, which is by far the best jelly beans on earth! I'm not to crazy about some of the flavors but I do like the Lemon-Lime, butter popcorn, toasted marshmallow , and most other fruity flavors. You can tell we (mainly me) like it because since Monday, it's already about 1/5 gone! (Hey, I share with my peeps at work!) -------what's your favorite? Yes, I do have too much fun posting random pictures (and random posts)! Ha-ha

Same GREAT taste.............

.................BUT BETTER! You are probably puzzled as to why I'm putting a picture up of this soda can; WHOLE FOODS 365 ALL NATURAL GINGER ALE. Well, I'll tell you why, and it may not be as crazy as you might think. Most of you know of my food allergies ; basically I have Celiac Disease (and dairy allergies) which means I can't/shouldn't eat things with gluten in them; my side/stomach hurts, it is VERY hard for me to digest it, and well.....you can prob figure it out from there what happens . I can handle very small amounts of gluten (like one small cookie or a quarter of a sandwich ), but either way I really need to stick to my food allergy diet, which I'm doing fairly well. The other day while at my favorite store on earth,WHOLE FOODS (only my favorite because they sell tons of gluten free foods, snacks, etc, but all of them are pretty expensive); I decided to browse the beverage aisle, just out of curiosity of what kind of beverage they sell (and...

Taste for Calories?...and Brainteasing

Image
I am rarely a person who eats or drinks high-caloric stuff. I think they are empty calories and in the end, you feel bad about eating/drinking it. Plus, too high fat content doesen't digest well with me. Anyhow, my weakpoint though is STARBUCKS coffee. I think a lot of thier drinks are so good because of the fat content in them. My first encouter with starbucks coffee was when my sister and I were out with some friends in the C'ville ice rink. We were a group of about 6 or 8 and after our ice skating, we all decided to go to Starbucks in UVA for some coffee to "warm up" (of course, this was during the summer, but we were chilly from the ice rink) Mind, you this was about 10-12 yrs ago when this happened. I think actually I had just started BRCC. Anyhow, I've never heard of Starbucks (or really drank much coffee) so my friend suggested a tall Caramel Macchiato. I'm thinking "tall" "I want a SMALL. Then I was explained the meaning of thier size ...

Public Speaking

Today, I got the wonderful opportunity to share my testimony at church. I have to admit, it was a bit nerve wrecking. People (by that I mean my parents and some close friends) told me "it'd be okay; you sing on team, so you'll be fine". My perspective: well, it's NOT the same; unlike worship team, you're up there by yourself , speaking by yourself , and if you make a mistake, they know it's you! Not that anyone ever tries to make mistakes while on worship team (although it does happen more often than anyone things); but still, the thought of public speaking never gave me a super duper good feeling, although, depending on the circumstances (such as doing a report at work, or even doing a report when I was at school) I think I do fairly well; but you have to think of the cicumstances: over 600 people PER service! (two services I spoke at). When I went in to the worship team room this morning, the team asked me how I was. I told them, I'm doing GREAT if y...

Meeting Niece Caitlyn

Image
Caitlyn with her binky (that she throws A LOT!) My parents and I got to meet Caitlyn for the first time yesterday. We got to the CJW Medical Cntr around 11am and had a good time visiting my sister, brother in law, my other niece (Caitlyn's sister) Miranda and meeting Caityln for the first time! So far, she's easy going, but she SCREAMS when someone tries to change her diaper or shirt! Miranda was different---she hated being even a little wet. I guess all children's tempermant are different (that goes w/o sayin!) Miranda was a bit jealous when she saw my mom hold Caitlyn. In fact, she cried such big tears! Poor thing! Mom and I and Dad gave Miranda a lot of attention as well. We left the hospital around 4pm to go back to thier house to spend some time with Miranda. She enjoyed that attention! I love both of my nieces!! Pray for a good transition for Miranda and Caitlyn. Miranda so she can learn to be a "big" girl and sister and Caitlyn for good smooth nights. So fa...

My newest niece! My second and youngest niece. Was born yesterday morning around 8ish or so. This is a pic taken by my bro in law and emailed to me. We are going over to Richmond tomorrow to meet this buddle of joy! She's so precious! Please think and pray for her big sister, Miranda. Miranda is feeling a bit uneasy and jealous right now, but thankfully she has her Grandma Wood there to give her a lot of attention. "Paw Paw" (grandma) Leung will be there next weekend to help my sister out, the new baby, and spend time w/ Miranda. I'll post more pic tomorrow!

Reminiscing ..............

Beautiful pink sand beach at "NINE BEACHES" My wonderful cousin, Anita and myself My cousin Annie and myself I know all of you could be tired of hearing about my first cruise to Bermunda to celebrate my cousin's wedding! Today, she finally mailed me a dvd with most of the pictures from Bermuda and it made me remember what a beautiful day it was and beautiful wedding and cruise! I'd love to go back again if I can....that is, if I have the resources and time off. Funny thing, though. I got a vocher from the cruise line for a free two day cruise to Bahamas. They say there is no catch, but I'm not too sure. But then again, I'm wondering if it had to do anything with my accident while on board the last day there. See, I slipped and fell and twisted my ankle! It was quit and adventure to get me to the infirmiry on board...which was NOT fun at all! Mom was there with me so that was good; it was one of those nights I decided to venture out to the decks w/ my mom and...
